Taapsee Pannu (born August 1, 1988) is an Indian model-turned-film actress. An ethnic Punjabi, she was a software engineer before pursuing modelling which eventually led her to acting.Appearing in several commercials, Taapsee also won Pantaloons Femina Miss Fresh Face and Safi Femina Miss Beautiful Skin, during her modelling days. She made her acting debut in 2010 with K. Raghavendra Rao's romantic-musical Jhummandi Naadam.Later, she made her Tamil debut with Aadukalam. She made her foray into Malayalam cinema with Doubles, starring opposite Mammootty,and has since signed half-a-dozen films in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam-languages.
