shale is a fine-grained, sedimentary rock composed of an elastic silt, which is a mixture of clay flakes and small fragments of other minerals including quartz and calcite. Relationships with other clays is variable.shale is characterized by an error occurs in parallel with the layering of a thin plate or blanket, or less than one centimeter in thickness, called fission.
