John Basilone 4 November , 1916 two 1919 in February 1945was U.S. Marine gunnery sergeant who received the Medal of Honor for his actions the Battle of Guadalcanal during World War II. He is the only naval exercise in the second world war to get Medal of Honor and Navy Cross.
